The quality you will see on-line will be much less than if you were viewing the videos on tape, CD or DVD, but it will give you some idea of our work.


Produced for the Animal Health division of Bayer Pharmaceuticals, this CD is directed at owners, managers and employees of cattle feedlots to help improve the overall health and quality of cattle being raised for market. The cornerstone of the program is a twenty minute video in both English and Spanish which gives instruction of modern cattle handling techniques to reduce stress in the cattle, and information on disease recognition and doctoring of cattle. The interactive CD also includes a quiz, and text documents related to the subject. The video itself is also be available on DVD and VHS video.

The Western Institute for Food Safety and Security is a training partner of the Office of Domestic Preparedness, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and is tasked with the development and delivery of ODP certified courses on agroterrorism.

In the early Fall of 2005, Paradigm Media completed a DVD Video built around one of the training courses for food producers and local emergency responders held in Northern California.

Southern University Agricultural Research Center. Paradigm Media recently provided extensive, on-site multimedia programming and design services for Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. The Ag Center needed to produce extensive, highly interactive CD-ROM training program for distribution to the Future Farmers of America (FFA), both in Louisiana, and throughout the country to help high-school students prepare for state and national meat cut identification competitions.

 

 

Avian Influenza (the "Bird Flu") has been recognized as a growing health threat to poultry populations for many years, and is now gaining prominance as a possible public health threat. The National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) is a branch of the USDA that, in part, regulates and provides standard testing protocols for United States poultry diagnostic laboratories, and Paradigm Media has just produced a comprehensive CD and Video guide for these laboratories on the most up to date diagnostic test procedures for Avian Influenza. This CD contains over 30 minutes of video, text information, a computerized quiz, and an interactive simulation to guide lab technicians toward understanding how these tests are to be read.

The U.S. Poultry and Egg Association.  The commercial poultry industry is big business worldwide.  The leading association in the this industry is the USP&E based in Atlanta, Georgia, and they provide immense service to their members and the poultry industry at large by providing comprehensive training programs and funding research projects in poultry health science.

In the past, Paradigm media has also produced a series of training videos for poultry health professionals in the laboratory, and in the field, on issues related to salmonella organisms that were funded and distributed by the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association.

Most recently, we completed major CD-ROM for the USP&E which is being distributed internationally (7,000 copies in Canada alone). Produced in collaboration with Dr. Jean-Pierre Vaillancourt of North Carolina State University, and many poultry health science experts from around the country, this program is a comprehensive resource for commercial poultry producers on poultry disease prevention through biosecurity and sanitation.

The CD contains 30 minutes of video segments as background for the hundreds of pages of support documents. In addition, an self-grading quiz is available as a part of the educational component, along with a custom programmed, interactive "scenario generator" which allows users to simulate actual conditions in a poultry facility and predict the relative disease risk based on user input. We've worked with the United States Department of Agriculture through the Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) for several years, and have at least one new project going for them at any given time.

Previous projects include tapes for the Poultry Health Science Conference at the University of Athens in Georgia in 1997, and a video for the national Farm Animal Identification Program.

Paradigm Media also produced several videos on commercial poultry biosecurity that are being distributed nationally. Shot in both Northern and Southern California, these productions were delivered in both Spanish and English to commercial poultry farm workers and poultry health science trainers. Bayer Animal Health is a division of Bayer Pharmaceuticals, and provides health care for all types of animals from domestic to commercial food production. A new product, designed to deliver essential nutrients to day old chicks at the hatchery needed a video to explore is benefits and use. Production was done at a hatchery in Canada, and the program was distributed on both VHS video and CD-ROM.

Gene Lambert of Paradigm Media has produced a number of programs for PG&E which covered the full gamut of topics, including hydroelectric, fossil fuel, and geothermal power generation, to employee training videos on power control and the electric power distribution over the grid. The last contract over a span of two years was to produce the monthly employee video newsletter for Redwood Region entitled "Redwood Focus".

Monogram Systems.  From Los Angeles California, Monogram is the major supplier of support equipment for airplane, train and bus transportation systems throughout the world.  Their customers are Amtrak, Boeing, Airbus and Bombardier, just to name the major players.  In the many years they've been in business they've designed and manufactured high quality systems for many other boat, train and aircraft applications for a huge variety of customers.  Over the years our video productions have ranged from complex training videos to sales oriented programs that company representatives take with them to demonstrate their capabilities around the world.  Our next round of videos in progress will also include three customer information and training video CD's!

The California Salmon Council.   Delivered to the California Salmon Council just recently, this five minute video was shot in fishing harbors from Eureka to Moro Bay in California, and showcases the California King Salmon as special delicacies.  It also has many fascinating scenes of fishermen trolling in the Waters off California to return these prized fish to the market, and tells something about what it takes to insure their fine quality.

 

An subsidiary of L-3 Communications, Wescam engineers and manufactures high-tech surveillance systems for law enforcement and the military. Normally used airborne, these gyroscopically stabilized optical and infrared camera systems are increasingly important throughout the world. Paradigm Media was hired as an independent media consultant for over two years, assisting the company with the production of customer information and service videos and CDs. In addition, we developed a real-time multimedia center for manufacturing floor technicians to aid them in the assembly of the systems.

 

The United Egg Producers is a national organization devoted to assisting the U.S. commercial egg laying industry. Recent scientific advance in better care of laying hens prompted the UEP to produce a set of guidelines for egg producers to bring this new knowledge to their operations. Paradigm Media first produced a 15 minute video to illustrate this information, then later developed an interactive CD which include the video and print materials under an interactive interface.

Shooting for this video ranged from California, to Oregon, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Motion Analysis Corporation.  Motion Analysis produces software and hardware packages serving the high-end movie and television animation industry. Recently Paradigm produced a sales video for the company that involved shooting at Netter Digital in Los Angeles, creators of the television series "Babylon Five". All of the Motion Analysis video programs are being rendered as interactive CD-ROM sales tools as well as for VHS video distribution.

Max Machinery. Paradigm Media is currently updating a customer service and sales CD-ROM that Max has been using continuously for the past three years. This CD contains an informational video about Max, along with complete details on the Max product line of flow metering systems. Included is a custom programmed utility that allows customers to help select just the right flow meter and accessories interactively by pointing and clicking on the screen.

The Georgia Egg Commission is a state sponsored organization devoted to promoting the Georgia egg industry. They have a wide range of programs which help to market eggs in the state, including cooking demonstrations, brochures and many other support activities for the industry.

Their most recent effort is the "From the Hen House to Your House" video/CD-ROM. This program, produced by Paradigm Media, is designed to provide curriculum resources for High School teachers, and includes a twelve minute video showing the entire process of how eggs are produced in the hen house, processed and brought to market. In addition, the CD provides many other resources for teachers, such as recipes, nutritional information, food safety information, and even an interactive quiz for students.

The California Egg and Meat Quality Assurance Plan.  This is a joint government and poultry industry organization dedicated to implementing a program to help commercial poultry producers in the realm of food safety.  Paradigm Media is in the process of producing a series of seven training videos on topics ranging from pest control to implementing a HACCP program.  The footage for these videos spans the continent, from California to Georgia and Virginia.

Michael Hat Farming and GRAPECO. Hat farming is one of the largest grape growers in California, with many thousands of acres of a variety of grapes in cultivation up and down the great central valley of California.  It's subsidiary, GRAPECO, crushes much of these grapes for use as flavorings in fruit drinks, jams and jellies. This video contains many dramatic aerials of the vineyards, along with a detailed discussion of the grape harvest and how the wines are produced.

 
Automatic Filters. Tekleen is a Los Angeles based company is a worldwide supplier of industrial filtration systems, and Paradigm will soon be starting production on a sales and customer information video to showcase their very unique solutions to some tough liquid filtration problems. The Airport Club.  One of Paradigm Media's local clients, the Airport Club used their five minute video this spring as part of a world wide contest among 3,000 health clubs which support activities for their senior members.  Paradigm documented their activities during a nine month period and completed the video late last fall.  The word is that they are in the top three of the clubs which applied, and they will go to Arizona this March to receive the award.
